Android Lollipop 5.1 has 4 New Things You Need to Know About – LG G2 Android 5.1 Lollipop update might not had been officially detailed by the South Korean giant but there are still a few things which you should know about the upcoming update.

Not Confirmed

There hasn’t been a single piece of evidence to lead us to believe that the LG G2 will even be updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop. LG hasn’t mentioned a thing and we haven’t seen any tidbit of information revealed from any of the wireless carriers around the world about this update. This doesn’t mean that it isn’t coming, we just can’t report on anyone talking about it since no one is right now.

The LG G2 was first released in September of 2013 so if LG follows other OEMs’ 2-year support cycle then we technically should see an update eventually. We’ll keep our ear to the ground and report on any findings that we have about this device and the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.

Latest Update

While the LG G2 hasn’t been mentioned when it comes to receiving the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update, LG has been working on the update though. LG released the LG G4 with Android 5.1 Lollipop and they also just released Android 5.1 for the LG G Flex 2. So at least we know that LG has been working on the latest version of Lollipop and that there is a possibility of it being released for the LG G2. We will most likely see LG release the 5.1 Lollipop update for the LG G3 before it is released for the LG G2. So first we are waiting to see LG complete the roll out for the G3 and then we start to look out for an update for the LG G2.
