Snapchat, the ephemeral messaging service that
I’m convinced I will never understand , has launched a store that lets you download Lenses to keep forever.
Following the introduction of Lenses a few months back , the store lets you choose from more than 30 paid options every day and each will cost 99 cents. There are still be free lenses available each day too though – it’s not a bait-and-switch.
Unlike the free lenses, the ones you pay for will stick around for as long as you like.
According to The Verge , the lenses will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and a few other European countries, with others to follow later. The update is rolling out today.
Honestly, I have no idea why you’d want to do this, but I’m coming to accept that I just don’t think I’m ever going to be friends with Snapchat.
