If you cast your mind back to June, you may recall that Meizu unveiled its flagship smartphone of 2015, the M2 Note, at a press event in China. Now the company has taken to its official Twitter feed to announce that the handset will launch exclusively through Amazon in India starting Monday, August 10.
The device will be available in both black and white colorways and will have a price tag of INR 9,999 ($157).
With regards to its internals, the M2 Note packs a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, a Mali-T720MP3 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 64GB via microSD), a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera equipped with Optical Image Stabilization, a 5-megapixel selfie shooter, dual-SIM slots with compatibility for LTE and a 3,100mAh non-removable battery.
The handset comes with a heavily modified build of Android 5.1.1 called Flyme on board, which has been designed from the ground up by the development team at Meizu solely to provide a smoother user experience on its larger devices.
