Google has announced the rollout of ChromeBeta 45 for Android, bringing a handful of new features to the mobile browser, along with a helping of bug fixes. Coming along in version 45 are Chrome Custom Tabs, an updated Bookmarks interface, and more.
Here's the full breakdown of what's new:Chrome Custom Tabs Updated media playback controls Updated Bookmarks interface Better logging for feedback reports Barrels of bug fixes and performance improvements.
Perhaps the most notable addition in this version is Chrome Custom Tabs. The feature was described during this year's Google I/O as a way for other apps to securely access your saved logins, passwords, and auto fill information from Chrome.
For example, tapping a link in an app that would normally take you to a webpage in Chrome will now open up a tab that appears as if it's part of the application you're using.
If you use Chrome for Android Beta, Google notes that version 45 should become available for download on Google Play in the coming hours.
